Toro or Honda

Looking to buy a new walk behind mower. Had a Toro for 10 plus years. Why does Honda seem to get better ratings than Toro.I am looking to get a good mulcher with self propelled. Also ,what engine is better, the Toro or Honda on the new Toro mowers

If you were happy with your Toro, by all means....get another one, but I would suggest a Honda. This is because I have had super good experiences with my Honda HRX and I think it has more features than the Toro. That might be one of the reasons it gets better ratings than the Toros, but on a list of the best mowers...there is almost an even number of Hondas and Toros, so they are both good! :thumbsup: If I was to get a Toro mower I would get one with a Honda engine. They are very well built. But if I was to get a mower with a Honda engine that was good, I think getting a Honda mower with a Honda engine would be even better. But again that is just my opinion, and you are choosing from the top 2 mower brands!! :thumbsup:
But whichever brand of mower you get I would try to get one with the 190cc engine. You will be happy with the extra power! :thumbsup:

He seems to keep spewing the same facts over and over again go work for honda I sugest toro personally seems parts are easier for me to find

You've had good luck with your Toro, you may be happy with another one. Dealer support and accessibility should play a part in your decision too. Some folks like Toros, others like Hondas. Both have models that rank in the top five picks in Consumer Reports. I have Hondas, and a Toro. I'm going to be selling the Toro. Just personal preference. If you work on your own mower, parts are as near as a mouse click away for nearly any brand. If not, that dealer support really is important.

I agree with bwdbrn1 there both good mowers so you really can't go wrong with either.

Buy the Honda, no, the Toro, NO, the Honda! :laughing: I like BOTH..I think somebody said Toro's parts are easier to find and I agree. Go to your local power equipment retailer and check them both out..you might like how one handles/specs etc. better than the other...any particular models you looking at?

I have both. My wife likes the Toro better, I like the Honda.They both are good mowers My Toro is about 5 years old and the Honda is about 2 years old. Can't go wrong with either one. In case your are wondering why I have both, The belt broke on the Toro and I went out and bought the Honda. We got the belt fixed on the Toro and thats the one my wife uses. She cuts the grass most of the time, but when I cut it I use the Honda.
