Toro 51831 60V String Trimmer

The actual tool isn't that expensive. Add a battery and charger, the total price more than doubles. Low IQ politicians have no business mandating such foolishness. Do they even think about the disposal of all of those spent batteries?
only in chatter. Most people are unaware that the solution to getting rid of hazardous waste in California often involves contractors who take it across the border to Mexico, Utah, or Arizona. https://calmatters.org/environment/2023/01/california-toxic-waste-dumped-arizona-utah/

A CalMatters investigation finds that environmentally stringent California sends nearly half its toxic waste across its borders, often to states with weaker rules. One of the biggest out-of-state dumpers: the state’s own hazardous waste watchdog.

I may have found part of the issue. The factory instructions say clearly over and over to rewind a spool, measure 10' of line, fold it in half and spool it. Yet the advertising data for the factory replacement spools say the spools come with 30' of line each. The fine print specs on replacement spools say that the spools should be wound with 10' - 15' per side totalling 20' to 30' of line.

The last part of trimmer line is always harder to use than the larger coils. I've been using 10' per the written instructions. I will try 30' and see if it works better. There is plenty of room on the spool for it. There is also more mass also with 30' so the mechanism has more momentum to feed out line.
