I run 20x10x8

It came with 20x8x8

A little wider and a lot better on hills.

That's what I'm thinking... plus they should be as likely to rut as 7s. 7" is just too narrow.

..... um... lots of room at the main frame but the part that holds the gas tanks only has 1/4 to 3/8" clearance

Turned out I did get the stock size. I went out to measure one last time and noticed a big bolt head on one side that would caused real iffy clearance problems. Also noticed the right tire was half flat from a dry rot crack ;) Got the Carlisle(?) turf saver tires from Summit Racing for 140 shipped. Never thought I'd be shopping at Summit again lol. Bought some new valve stems too. Think I'll take a shot at mounting the tires myself. Thanks for all the input

wow, those things are expensive

I thought so too ;) Firestone makes a tire that size that is $150... each
I put new blades on too. These are 3" wide and 1/4" think. I hope the weight doesn't screw with the blade tip speed.
I'm waiting for some gaskets so I can take the carb off and see whats causing the surging.

I'm going to have to replace the tires on my Gravely 34z soon. I don't mind the wear so much but they're old and the sidewalls have some cracking. Better to take care of it before they give out on the job.
The OEM size is 21-7-10. The only ones I've found are Firestones at $330 shipped. No way. I think I'll go with some Kenda 20-8-10. I don't think the extra half inch will rub the frame and a 20-10-10 might not rub. That would be real close tho.
I'll find a way to deal with the height issues if it affects the cutting height or rake. The deck is suspended by chains.
Just running this by yall to see if I overlooked anything.

You might check out gctwholesale.com they have good prices and good turn around. one pair for $77.50 20x10-10 4ply turf, that two tires for $77.50 + shipping. Add something like $20-$22 for shipping

Those are good prices on the Kenda 21-7-10 4 ply tires. But... I already have the new tires I bought from Summit on the mower.
