Throttle cable???

Anyone know of issues with cub cadet throttle cable snapping???? I have had to replace it twice this season. Kinks then snaps near the plastic shift housing. Kohler 7000 series engine. LT 50 model. XT 1 Enduro series.

Sounds like it is either the wrong length or just a bad batch of cables .
Most mower shops will have bulk cable and if you are lucky they will have the higher quality nylon lined sheathed cable with stainless wire
Make up a new one or gt them to make a new one, pointing out your exact problem so they can make the cable longer / shorter so it has a clean run & does not kink

I have a XT2 54". I have had the throttle cable pull out of where the cable attaches to the throttle lever. twice. I made a metal insert for the hole where the cable inserts. That seems to have fixed it.
