Export thread

I just spend 15 minutes replying to a thread on "lawn vs garden tractors," When I pressed "preview post" I lost the text and was prompted to "register" This is not the first time and very frustrating. Spend some time testing this site software. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Use Microsoft Word or Works to do your replies then just copy and paste, that way you won't have things go missing, that is how I did this reply.:thumbsup:

While I have not posted often, I have never had a problem.

I just use the app on my phone. So much faster and easier to use.
The good part is it has not changed in 3 years.

Also, if you use Firefox you can get an add-on called Lazerus. It prevent exactly what you described from happening. No need to cut and paste.

Yes, check the "remember me" box when you log in so your browser won't "time out" or automatically log you out while you're typing a post.

Also, as a general rule, regardless of where I'm posting something, I select the entire post and hit ctrl+c to copy it before clicking post. I've lost many posts on many sites so I just use that fail safe to save myself the frustration when posting something, especially if it's long.

I always copy before I hit send.

I use the iPhone app and never have had any problems.

Muhammed, thanks for the tips, but I also have trouble logging in, often being rejected which puts me into a funk for the whole day.:laughing:
