C10 Update

I disassembled the 350 which I had purchased.
Also tentatively purchased a 350 w/freeze cracked block for heads (Vortec, but not from frozen motor) and other stuff.
Took block and heads to machine shop, where I was told that heads were cracked (common Vortec problem) and block needs boring to .030 over.
Not surprised on either count.
Crank looks good, just gonna have polished.
Took the heads back for refund.

So I am in a holding pattern waiting for block,rank and parts.
I am going to purchase a set of aluminum heads, a good move cuz I can bump the C/R to 10:1 cuz alum. heads cool way better.
I gotta pick a cam....roller lifter with some bump and pump, but not too radical.

What the heck....it's only money, right??
