Thank your for your (as always) kind words.
Your grasp of the obvious is quite astute.

As for the saddle, I have had it surgically attached to my arse in order to rectumfy the situation.......
Something you could have done if yer head wasn't in the way !!

So VERY glad when YOU visit Cap'n,.. afterall this IS ... YOUR thread, as you noticed, Ronno is a GREAT assett to us, a smart-arse dickhead, but ya just can't help likin the guy, ( he IS a witty lil bassturd too ! ) gives me a run for the money, Chuck is the guy with the #@&!##@$&##@$$% cattle-prod, he the "push" here these days, and continues to be the man behind the "Paper & Pencil" when it comes to the count... anyway, glad to see ya back, and whatcha think of the "calendar-girls" as a mornin ritual .. ?? ..

Boo, don't be so self depreciating, this is "our" thread.. I may have started it, because the Yardman had a transmission problem and this seemed - (and proved) - to be the place to ask how to fix it.. Hell, guys ask serious questions on here every day. But then you and I and several other guys (who I sorely miss!) began to wander off course slightly and discuss "other" issues which ran the gamut from personal to world problems and beyond.

At that time, when our "views" started to increase exponentially, I thought it was because our topics were interesting to a broad spectrum of people out there, but here we are doing little more than bantering B.S. back and forth and showing some skin photos and still the number of views is astounding. I 'thought' the old saying, "It doesn't take much to interest sailors and little kids. - (and I'll add 'airmen')" - was restricted to that small audience. But, obviously there are a lot of numb-nuts out there who drop by here for damn little more entertainment beyond some pissing and moaning and a few pictures of nearly naked girls. Now I understand the interest in the girls (I assume that it is fair to say we don't have many women visiting this posting) but frankly the day to day posts have lost their luster. If it wasn't for You, Ron and Chuck, this place would be tits-up.. (Well, of course the girl's pictures already "are" there), but that's different, - you know what I mean.

Have we lost Tom and Clyde and Trevor and Ken and James? I know Russ drops by now and then, but it just isn't like the old days.. remember Gretchen Prieto of Fire Department fame? You were the star there buddy! We tracked Tom down, even as he cruised the country on his motorcycle! He could run...… But he couldn't hide..

I can't help but reminisce.... I miss the "Good Old Days", Here, - There - and - Everywhere...

Re: MTD Yardman Transaxle Rebuild

I DON"T do F/B, Twitter or ANY of the Social Media hype trash, I have a smart-phone WITHOUT the Internet, ( I have a desktop with a 27 in. Monitor) ( I don't take pictures or video with my phone, I have a digital camera for that ) MY phone is used as a PHONE, ( just like an old style "phone-booth" but without the encumbrances of one, THAT part I REALLY like, especially for an emergency ) I can't understand why folks think lookin at schitt on 5-6 in. screen is "cool" .... ya'll gonna have eye issues down the road ...... SORRY CC ... I'm OLD school, an ol fart, one foot in the grave, the other on a banana-peel, and I love to have fun .. ( if ya stick around, you'll get like us !!! )

Com'on Boo - You "Old School"? - Ha! - I don't even have a cell phone! The phone out in my shop is a wall mount DIAL phone! Now THAT'S "Old School" Hell, you ain't even 'old'! You young whipper-snapper... And now that they've re-routed your plumbing or your cooling system or whatever in hell they did to you, you can even get around better than me! (Remember when we were planning to build Hot Rod Wheel Chairs to terrorize the Marion Flea Market in?) Well, I miss those times too! And next year if I get a wheel chair, I'm gonna get you to push it!

I wish this "CC" fella (could we call him CiCi? I kinda like that) would muster up all his buds and get them to post on here! Maybe that would enliven things...

Not to take anything away from Ron who has become the Richard Simmonds of the bicycle world! I'm proud of ya buddy.. Two-hundred and whatever pounds is simply too much weight for a guy that's only 5'5" tall... But Me?! - I'm going to have to start a starvation diet.. I have been sippin' Sweet Tea all this hot summer (a habit I picked up in Florida) and it's beginning to show! But with bum knees, I can't run, can't hardly walk and damn sure can't ride a bicycle! Got to flat out starve.. That sucks!

Well, I've screwed around on here long enough this morning.. I've got to go lobstering.. I'm the "bait boy".. (a.k.a. "Stern Man", but I was worried where Boo would go with that!) … "Grab that buoy, haul that line, bait that trap", that kind of stuff.. Imparts a "different smell" to ya.. Funny, but none of the girls will get anywhere near me anymore..

Re: MTD Yardman Transaxle Rebuild

Update to my life. I was stupid enough to not put my toys up about 3 weeks ago. Weedeater and Blower. They ran off and found a new home where someone cared about them more than me I guess. Needless to say, I had to replace them and did not really want to. I headed to my local Husqvarna dealers. One local and one 15 miles away. Neither had anyone to help me nor did they want to from what I could tell. I asked for a sales person in both shops and got no one to help me for over 30 min. Neither of these dealers are glass front stores. So I took my happy little arse to Lowes. I got help there although I knew more than they did about the product I was buying. As I asked questions I could see the cold dead stare from them and knew I was on my own. The big difference I found between the dealers and Lowes is the person at Lowes could go get me what I had to buy. Now that is not saying much for either place. I ended up getting the "same" weedeater only with a newer style engine and a backpack blower with the same style engine only much bigger from Husqvarna. I have purchased about 4 back blowers in the past 7 years and never like a single one. Never living up to the hype. When I unboxed this one I made sure to not damage the box so I could take it back with no questions asked. Well, that never happened. I love the way this thing starts and runs. It warms up in the amount of time it takes me to put it on and strap it down. I now can stand 10 to 15 feet further away than my last handheld blower. It makes for one pass blowing instead of 2 pass blowing. Hell on one job I would run the mower around the parking lot first the blow it twice to get it all looking good. Now just one pass and I am done. Time saver to say the least. My old handheld was a good blower do not get me wrong but the backpack blowers did not do a better job al the way up to the $400 dollar mark. I refuse to purchase a blower over that price range as they start going down in price versus performance somewhere around there. Now I know everyone has their own idea of what is a good deal and what is not so I am not talking for anyone except me. So this backpack blower cost $50 more than the handheld I was going to buy and I am glad I tried it out. Now for the weedeater. It is easier to start. It takes t pulls just like my old one just does not have to pull as hard. It uses have the fuel and has more usable torq. Oh, the blower also uses a lot less fuel with an almost 15cc larger engine. So I am happy with the new equipment but not that I had to purchase them because of my stupidity.
I will update the post with Names in a few but for now, this is what I have.
