one trap and one king size lobster lost...eh?! Sorry to hear that RogerMy favorite time of the morning is finishing up my emails and then opening the Lawn World Forum to see what you rascals have been up to!! I usually end up LMAO before I'm done.
Just so you guys don't think I'm a total temperature woose, (like Boo-Boo) I want you to know that it was 28 degrees out when we went lobstering yesterday. We had to use salt water (with a bucket) to melt the ice on the windshields (the freshwater hose and piping were frozen solid) and the dock and ramp had a heavy coat of frost on them making going down the ramp at low tide a challenge. We've been having huge tidal swings this week (full moon) the biggest was nearly 12-feet (11.7' actually.) Looks like the Bay of Fundy up here!
I really screwed up yesterday though. We'd just hauled one trap and while we were working on it the boat drifted over another one that I didn't notice, and when I put the engine in gear the rope got caught in the prop, but it didn't wind it up like it 'might' have, it just cut the buoy off and the sinking rope disappeared. One trap lost!! . . . Bugger! . . . They aren't cheap either! Plus I have to apply to the State for a replacement trap tag. Oh well, as we all know - schitt happens!
