The big disconnect. SEPERATE MACHINE AND ENGINE INFORMATION IS NEEDED! We are not mind readers

Except when one of the customers who argue with the sign post decide to homeschool... That could be a mess!
When they are claiming that about 40% of the kids that are graduatimg can't read the sign post, homeschooling may still be an improvement.

When classes sizes are large and the teacher has only 30-45 minutes to spent with a group of 30+ kids it is hard to focus one the problem ones. We got to get back to spending more with each student.

Now my problem in school was that I couldn't see the darn blackboard even sitting in the front row. It was this way until the tenth grade went someone finally listen and got things done. Put took me nearly wiping a mailbox post to do it however. Then the teachers wanted to put off in the back corner a way from all my classmates thinking I was cheating because my grades when from D's to A's and B's.

I think that is only a small part of the problem. Too much time is spent on things other than the basics which don't do any good until they are proficient in the basics. And add on some schools have integrated tech into the schools to the point that some schools issue incoming freshman with a new laptop, which they keep until senior graduation. all testing, assignments, notetaking, and teacher/student correspondence is done on the laptop. So no physical hand writing, just keyboarding.

Probably why handwriting is so terrible. Some can't even print words anymore. And with AI coming the teaching it is only get worst. Now I even got customer that even fill out a check. They think everyone those check scanner that electronic processes the checks.

Now when I was in third grade in Salinas they was teaching cursive writing skills [ penmanship] so when I came to Alabama and they me back in the second grade the teacher had a fit that I was refusing to print my lessons. I also was refusing to use that fat pencil. She couldn't read cursive writing.

Things will only get worst than they are now if we don't get back to basics.

AND just think, that in a few years the majority of the people running the country will be home schooled.
Home school is a good idea, we are learning all the time. Our family can't afford to send kids to school, and so education is hard. Be they are happy children, with knowledge about farming and cows.

Well, this thread certainly strayed way off the subject, but the conversation is interesting just the same. We have managed to come full circle in a roundabout way. People who need help can't be bothered giving the needed information.

People that have problems with their mowing equipment need to understand and locate their machine information better than the pretty label on the panels. The manufacturer product identification label is a good start in many situations.

Next would be the engine product identification information label or possibly the numbers stamped into a valve cover.

The one thing I really like is the yoyo that throws say around $300 dollars' worth of parts at it, that doesn't fix it. Then finally come on here and ask a question about it and someone tell them the problem, that would have cost them nothing. LOL
Then they don't come back and thank one of us for the information. Hey they don't want us to think they are that stupid.

Hello H.

Once a problem is resolved, why thank anyone?

They spent hour surfing the web for instant gratification just to add more problems to the mix by throwing random parts at it.

I have been an automotive and small engine technician for most of my adult life. Fixing machines is easy compared to trying to figure out why people are the way they are.
