The front wheels go pigeon toed when backing up on a used Lt1550 I just bought. The steering gear bushing is shot, but I’m not seeing anything else to obviou yet while it’s on the trailer. Anything else I should check when I unload it?
And in particular the front cross member and it's pivot bolt .
Older cubs had a grease nipple for it as dose most JD's
Ne cubs do not they just use a softer bolt
Plus the wheel bushes + the king pin bushes

Some have adjustments , some you jus change out the pivot bolt, good ones have a replaceable bush, usually high density nylon
I some times cut washers from old HDPE drums to take up the slop

I hope to have time this weekend to check it out, the diagrams on the cub cadet sight don’t show bushings or grease fittings, so just hoping for something I can fix. Otherwise it may become a parts machine for the lt 1050

The center pivot of the from axle is the frame and a bolt pivot bracket. The spindle end of the axles if worn would have to be reamed and bushings installed. After the bushings are installed then they have to be ream so the spindles will fit.
