Appear they call it by several different names. How typical of them trying to confuse us.

You need to pull the rope back and forth while putting the starter back on, and make sure the starter cup meshes properly.
Tried your suggestion today. After several attempts, I finally got it to mesh correctly and the bolts back on. Turned over no problem and fired right up. Working like a champ now, which is good, since I've got about an acre and a half to weed whack. Amazes me that last time I tuned it up, it went right back together with no problem and this time, it's a three day chore to get it back working. I think the real problem is that you need three hands when reassembling the Stihl. Thanks for all the help!!

Yeah, sometimes things take a little jiggling to make it better.
