Stiga park pro 20 hard steering

Hello to everyone, looking for some advise. I have a bit of a problem with my 2004 stiga park pro 20,
The power assisted steering is gone knotchy and hardish to turn either way, I have changed the filter and the oil.
I think the transmission and the steering share the same system and oil. Has anyone came across this problem before.
A new assisted steering is 650€ and i dont know if it’s worth spending that on it. Any help much appreciated

Did you fix the problem?
 
I missed the first post.
I am assuming that this is the articulated Stiga we are talking about
If so when was the last time you grease the pivot pin between the 2 halves ?
