Starter or Solenoid problem?

Yes, I see the ignition unit on the schematic, so i will identify the wire from it to the switch.
forgive my ignorance, but when you say remove the other wire, do you mean to cut it , as it will not be used again?

No just disconnect it for now, that way you always put it back if you need to...!

Is there a trick to disconnecting that wire?
Could you say more about using the multimeter in this situation?.

There is no trick to disconnecting a wire, and if you need to know how to use a multimeter, best to type in on google or youtube "how to use a multimeter"

Thanks Engineman for your assistance.I concentrated on the wires for the atachment switch which i had disconnected.: i joined the blue, white and ground wire together, and the other white and blue wire and i was so delighted when the mower started and ran.

So pleased you got it going, just make a note on the schematic of the wiring that you done, you may need it again sometime, and thanks for coming back to tell us here.:thumbsup:
