Snapper Model 130.887650 Dual Stage 27" 11.5 TP Snowblower

Wanted to replace both driver and auger belts, however could not figure out how to do auger belt as can't quite get clearance to remove drive belt as well as replace new one. The square metal plate on one side and the friction wheel on the other leaves not enough clearance for old/new drive belt which is much thinner than auger belt.

Replacing auger belt was easy when you v-split the auger from frame so I did that.

Stumped and looking for some pointers.

Pictures attached.

maybe first 3 minutes or so shows how to remove auger and belt. Supposedly this same model as yours but rebranded. It actually came up quickly in a Google search using your model number.

This video shows a full auger rebuild. My issue is not the auger belt replacement as I already was able to install a new one.

The issue is not knowing the correct procedure how to remove and replace the smaller traction/drive belt as the clearance is pretty tight.

Thanks!

I found a video that explains how to do both including the traction belt. The key for traction belt is to remove from the bottom pully 1st and then pull up from the friction wheel side. Given the friction wheel turns you should be able to pass the old/new belt through the small gap between friction wheel and bottom pully.
