I have a problem with the starter rope. I was about 3/4 done when the self propelled stopped working. I turned it off and checked the belts, and they seemed fine. I tried to start it back up and the rope won't pull. I checked it and the rope is fine. Any ideas? Thanks.

if you laid it on the side, take the spark plug out, put a rag near the plug hole and try again. Then check the oil level and also if it has fuel in the oil now.

Thanks, I'll do that. I am concerned about the self propel not working. It has given me trouble before, but like I mentioned, the belts and everything else that has to do with the self propel seems good. I'm older than dirt, and I rely on the self pulling. Thanks.
Hi. I just dragged in 3 push mowers yesterday. An old self-propelled Snapper (heavy)
and 2 Yard Man. Just unloaded one the lightest one today. Those old Snappers are
nearly indestructible but no demand for them it seems.

as I indicated, be sure to check the oil level and for gas in the oil. If it was hydrolocked (which is sounds like it was) then the oil, or oil and gas had to come from somewhere. Make sure the oil is clean and to the full mark.
