I don't know if it is compatible, but as for what we think of kevlar belts, here is a thread that might help you. It will work but like I said being a 1/4 bigger it will not be as tight and could slip under a heavy load.

Now you can go to sears and get a deck pulley that is just a tiny bit bigger to make up for the belt. Still cheaper than the $60 snapper belt.
And yes it will bolt right in to place
