Starting to understand small engine carburetors to a degree. Looking behind the control plate, and understanding what I was looking at took a little getting use to. The first time I took the carb off, I dropped the choke return spring when re-assembling. I now understand the throttle link and return spring. I also understand the governor spring. That took a little time to sort out, got it now.
The main jet and nozzle are clean. Float and needle valve work good, new. All new gaskets.
Problem
Still runs bad, also this morning I found gas dripping from the bowl!! I forgot to shut off the fuel line valve.
Surging, a mind of it's own. engine doesn't respond Well to the Throttle lever.
To me, it seems to be the float, I'm ordering a pressure gage to test it, I can't get any air through with the, carb upside down, needle valve and seat seem to be working. I can also hear the float moving when turning the carb over.
I still have a lot to learn, thank god it's ice and snow last night no cutting grass.
