I have a 40" Simplicity Broadmoor. Problem is the mower deck had rustyed through.
Any ideas on where I can get a replacement?
Or can I buy a 38" or 42" replacement deck which will fit the Tractor?
Or is there anyone who can fabricate a replacement deck?

Well a new deck shell is listed as currently available
40" simplicity deck
But at $ 471 US + freight it will not be cheap in the UK even from the local distributor .
Note from the part listing it could be any one of 5 brands so check all of those part numbers as often they will all retail for different prices .
OTOH there are a lot of small engineering / fabrication / welding workshops who should be able to weld over the rusted spots .
I am yet to find a deck that I can not repair no matter how rusted it is .
Some end up with more patch plates than the original deck pressing but that is another story .
Your mower came with a 38" 40" & 44" decks

All the serevice agents I spoke to said that they were unable to do a weld repair on the deck - it was too far gone.

You are right about the five different mower decks. But I am unsure as to which one I have. I could not find a label on the deck.

Do you have a link for the $ 471 US + freight ?

My Simplicity Broadmoor which I purchased as new in 2005 is

Tractor = Mfg no = 1694430 - s/n = 03030​

Simplicity 1694210 - 40" Mower Deck.​


1) Will a 44" mower deck fit the Tractor?
2) The Ebay supplier says that they do not ship to UK
