i have a country line log splitter with a kohler sh265-3011 engine the engine will not increase rpm when the throttle position is in max speed postion. the compression is 35psi, replaced carb but unit still do not increase the rpm, the governor springs are correct according to service manual the unit only runs for afew seconds even with new carb. any clues to get unit to run at increased rpm when using log spiller system

Don't what a spiller system is but I going to assume log splitter system.

What condition is the spark plug? Sounds low compression as I would expect 65-95 psi with an active ACR.

Grab the governor arm and manually try to accelerate the engine .
Listen carefully to it
If it starts to miss like it is running out of fuel, then that is what is wrong
If it sort of muffles and just stops them check the muffler for blockages .
If it sounds like the engine is struggleing then check the bypass on the splitter pump .
