Found a basic layout here, but can't find an advanced diagram with wire colors and what not. I will keep looking.

It will be at the end of the parts book if AYP made it or at the end of the handbook if MTD made it.
Both are available from the Sears web site as a free download.

Ron, Are you trying to trouble shoot the electrical system or make up a new one? Not a whole lot of wires on a mower.

yes, i'm trying to troubleshoot. it's just easier for me if I have a problem and I look at schematic and say ok if this is supposed to happen I need 12 volts here. if that's ok, then I can move to next point.
the mower is made by mtd but operator manual does not have wiring or parts breakdown. thanks, ron
