2011 Scag Velocity deck
48" Walk-behind
Grass Gobbler metal catcher

For some reason it's not bagging so nicely. I have the same mower in 36 with the grass gobbler catcher and never clumps or throws grass. My 48 clumps and leaves a line of grass It's kinda weird because its leaving a line without it being full of grass. I brought it to my scag dealer who I bought it from and it's lined up as it should be. We put a high lift blade on the outer side (bag side) to maybe help it and it didn't change anything

What do you guys think

Are you mowing at full throttle?
Does this catcher have a vent screen?
Does the deck discharge normally without the catcher installed?
Does your other mower have a grass catcher that you can try on this machine?

Yes full throttle.
It's a grass gobbler catcher that's vented all around but the bottom
My other deck is a 36 advantage deck so it won't fit.

Went to my dealer and the catcher is mounted properly. We had it up in the air and its all lined up. We put a high lift blade on the furthest most blade towards the bag to see if it would help but no change. It throws clumps out in a line when the bagger isn't even close to being full
