Req help... small generator won't run.

Is what of seems like seems like the fuel isn't getting shut off all the way and that drip of oil is actually fuel oil mix running through the muffler getting more dirty creating a black look to it. 2 stroke carbs are really hard to clean without an ultra sonic cleaner ( I am going to buy one this year) so as of now I just replace the 2stroke carbs have you priced a replacement on it? If you decide to replace I recommend 2 things a fuel shut off valve and run it dry. And a little stabolizer in the fuel and run it regularly every 2-3 weeks for about 5-10 mins get that fuel flowing through the carb sitting gas is no good for anything

could the carburetor nettle valve be sticking

Not sure, but I'm reading about this problem to determine if this could be the issue (not sure how to diagnose this problem yet).

I actually used an ultra sonic cleaner but didn't remove the jets.

I guess I need to remove the jets and brush them clean. I'll probably do that next week (I've spent a lot of time and effort on this $80 HF generator).
