RedMax Run Issues(repost)

Working on a RedMax HBX2601 leaf blower. Starts and idles great. Will not reach max rpm without choking it intermittently. Runs better upside down for a while. I have:
-replaced tank lines n filter
-replaced carb with new
-gaskets between carb n plastic isolator
are seating

Suggestions?.................................................This thing is about to get recycled...what am I missing?
 
It is possible you have gasket or seal problem with the crankcase. This is where a pressure/Vacuum tests are used to find the problem area.

It is to be note the entire crankcase is part of the engine intake system in two cycle engine.
 
Well I got the gaskets covered but I honestly did not consider a crankshaft seal leak. Thanks again, I'll test the crankcase for a leak elsewhere....thanks you a bunch!!
 
True that.................................I put the old carb back on with no change. Crankcase leak is making sense.
