Dixie Chopper 2460, When mowing and moving forward (happens when mowing downhill) there is a strong rattling sound from the engine and pump area. I have checked all mounting hardware and nuts and bolts. What could cause this.

If it is the tensioner pulley arm we are talking about, first make sure the bolt securing it is tight. As the bearing or bushing wears, slip develops. Cut a section about 6” of fuel line and split it on one side, wrap it around the arm and zip tie it to arm. Viola, your rattle is now gone.
