Good morning
I have a gravely zt 48hd and I staryed to here a rattling noise coming from the back end thought it may be engine. But I looked under and it looks like the drive clutch is hitting on a metal stop. Is this normal?

That metal stop is there to keep the clutch from spinning with the engine rotation.
And yes it is normal
You canbuy a rubber grommet to push over the pin & take up the space or some tube to do the same but it will be an annual job to replace it.
When the engine is cold, check for loose sheet metal around the exhaust area. Heat in this area tends to cause sheet metal to come loose and make noise.
