Raptor SD stalling when blades are engaged

Engage the PTO at a higher throttle setting (3/4 to Full).
The operators manual for my Kohler powered Gravely states to engage blades at full throttle.
I like to set my deck at the my desired cutting height before engaging the blades. I had a Toro that would sometimes throw the belt if the blades were engaged before dropping the deck to the desired cutting height.

Engine kills when I pull the steering arms in. if I hurry and put them out the engine will stay running, Sounds like it could be a safety switch but it happens on either one. not sure where these wires go but it could be a loose connection at that point. Thanks, If anyone has more suggestions please let me know.

Please do not tack a new problem onto a thread that has been dormant for 6 years
Even worse is when your problem is not related to the original post
The lap bars are connected to the parking brake so you can not drive away with the brake on thus ripping the brake apart
Could be the switch could be the wires between them or could be a relay depending upon exactly what mower we are talking about
