Putting throttle control on a Honda engine

Depending upon how far from shore your favourite hole is you would probably be better using one of the myriad of small electric outboards.
Add a solar cell to recharge the battery while you are "reeling them in" and you are set for a good days fishin .
EV's do have a place and the current crop of e-boards are quite impressive with a load more torque than a mower engine .
This is assuming you are in a standard 6' tinnie and not a 20' cruiser.

I do have a Kohler 19 hp that came off of a lawn tractor. Thanks for your reply bert.

SO now you understand you shouldn't use the engine, but does that mean you're not going to use the engine. If its already available use it and report back.
