Has anyone converted a riding lawn mower to propane? I've seen push mowers converted but not riding mowers.

Just what is the advantage of a propane lawn mower. The only thing I can think of is that it runs a lot cleaner then gasoline.

That's really it. You lose power. Propane is difficult to fill and sometimes hard to locate and its annoying.

Another plus for using propane is the fact that the fuel will never get old and varnish. We use a number of Briggs and Stratton propane powered generators at communications towers, time can get away between run times where conventional gas engines would get in trouble with varnish. These propane units always start and run good.

It does take a very large bottle for any extended run time.
