It keeps breaking the conneting rod that has the swiveling bolts on both ends that connects the gear lever to the part that changes gears on on front of transmission and I cant figure out why or how.

Most times my attempts at it fall flat with USA readers.
However I see this is a duplicate thread and Fish & Star are pointing you in the right directions over at the other post .
