i bought this from a guy and he took off the air cleaner and sprayed down the carb and started right up and died .he repeated a few times and got it to run but only with the choke pulled out some. i bought it and figured it needed a fuel filter or carb cleaned. put in new filter cleaned the carb and emptied gas. started it same thing but this time it wont run at all. i took the carb off again thinking dirt got sucked in . same. i pulled the hose off the fuel pump and its coming out.it will run fine if you give it continuous spraying of the cleaner. i checked the needle valve. does this sound like the float might be checked and staying on the bottom.im putting too much money in this I appreciate all the help I can get.
The fool left Ethanol fuel in the fuel system over the winter. Now the engine can't get enough fuel without the choke. You're going to need to dis-assemble the
entire fuel system and clean or replace everything.... from the fuel cap to the carb. This includes the fuel lines, manual fuel valve, filter... every single piece.
And when we say clean the carb, we're talking about a complete dis-assembly and cleaning every passage with brushes, carb cleaner and compressed air.
