Hi, I think my 123K02-0239-E1 engine is missing some parts related to the governor. Please refer to the pics below. I looked at the manual and it's really hard to tell what I am missing. thanks in advance.

You're missing some Choke linkages, it appears to be an auto Choke engine, remove the blower housing and see if there is a metal arm mounted on the exhaust/muffler.
You can type that model number into an online small engine part store, (parts tree, Jack's small engines etc.) And get diagrams for it.

Thanks again for the help. Ok the parts came and fit perfectly, but I can't then put the blower housing on the top. The metal at the side comes down too far. I had to remove the vane so the blower housing would fit. Am back to square one. Please see attached. Thanks.

Items 1386. 1387 and 1388 from this diagram is what is missing

Two things I see that don't relate to the blower housing problem.
I don't see the auto choke lever on the muffler
The small spring is mounted on the coil, it should hook just to the left of it on the tin shield.
Look at time mark 6:11 of the video.
Also look at time mark 25:27. Look how this blower housing has a large area cut out in it for the air vain.
Maybe you have the wrong housing ? If so I'm sure you can cut it if you want.

Went back and reviewed all your pictures from the beginning. And it looks like that mower should of been set up with a primer type system. That is the reason the extra parts don't fit. What is throwing me and everybody else off in your case is the mower has the incorrect carb. You have a carb for the auto choke on a mower that should of had the carb for the primer.

So the best way out is to buy the carb.
Looking at the video, even though he has the carb for auto choke he would still need the part for the muffler, air filter housing for a primer bulb and cut the fan shroud for the air vain to work.

Ok thanks again for the help. I got a new carb and it fits perfectly. Put everything back together.

Won't start. Looks like there's oil on the spark plug (I had to tip the mower to adjust the cutting height on it but it has sat the correct way up for over a week.

I cleaned off the plug, pulled the cord with no plug in to try and clean out the engine. Put the plug back - still won't start.

Any ideas? Thanks ?
