You definitely the air and gasket for the carb involved,
Sorry, I did not understand your reply. I need a different air cleaner and gasket for the carb I have?

Sorry I just came in from the darn cooold a little bit ago and was waanting to huuug the heater. We went from the 70s to the low 30s with snow showers. Shivering all over. Boy weight lost is not fun.

yes you do need a different air cleaner base and gasket. The PNs posted are for the kits that comers the gasket.

I wonder if I got the correct gasket I could modift the housing to meet the need? Does anyone know the part number for the gasket?

Thanks so much!! I just ordered one. Should be here by the weekend. Without the correct filter housing to copy, do you know if the notch is just angled to go into the main air inlet or does it do something trickier? I was thinking that I could drill/cut a slot on an angle towards the throat. Seeing that it ran fine without the filter housing I am assuming that it should work that way. Any thoughts?

If the image is correct and my memory but its been a long time since the last repair that use one of these; it should just be angled into the main passage.
