Hello, I have a Husqvarna craftsman Mower with a Briggs and Stratton Engine, It wont prime so its not starting, I have free flowing fuel from the fuel line, replaced the primer bulb "kind with small hole in end", replaced gasket to air cleaner plate which contains primer bulb assembly, actually doubled gasket, removed carb dissassembled , sprayed carb cleaner through every orfice, put back together and it still wont prime, not pulling any fuel into bowl. Do I need new carb? Model 917.375361

If you are not getting fuel into the bowl, then you need to determine what is clogged between the fuel line inlet, and the float valve. if you have no fuel in the bowl then it won't prime because that type of primer system pushes air into the bowl to force the fuel up into the carb venturi.

There should be a rubber seat up above the float valve, that will swell if exposed to some carb cleaners.

Thanks for the reply, I removed the carb again and ,"forgive me if this sounds stupid" , but... if I blow into the fuel inlet with the bowl removed but the float attached, I have to pull the float all the way downn to get any flow through , it seems tome that the float feels stiff enough that fuel could not make it float, yet the only thing holding it in place is the small pin,the needle valve moves freely when i manipulte the float by hand.

Cecil told you what is wrong.
The float needle seats onto an orange rubber seal.
Yours is most likely US.
Also pull out the float hinge pin, and remove the float needle shack that it is clean s you can get build ups on the side which stop it from falling out under its own weight.

The hole thing should work on gravity.
The weight of the needle & valve makes them fall to the bottom of the bowl.
It has nothing to do with the delivery pressure of the fue.
