No forward or reverse after belt from engine to deck broke

Exactly. That's why I'm trying to figure out what has happened. Engine and hydraulics were working flawlessly before the engine to deck belt broke and got tangled up.
 
Is the idler on the inside of the v belt on the left side off the frame. The idler should be 1 inches from the frame. The dump is the 5/8 hex headed bolt head that might have a hole through it. Open 1 1/2 turns to push the mower. To adjust the tension on the belt you loosen the engine mounting bolts just enough to be able to move the engine. Find the adjusting bolt attached through the rear engine mounting bolt bracket and loosen the lock nut. Long bolt that goes through the rear of the frame. Tighten the bolt to pull the engine back enough to adjust the belt to achieve the 1-inch distance of the idler from the frame. https://www.dixiechopper.com/owners-manuals/

Belt is correct and I did not open the dump bolts. After the deck belt broke it got tangled and shut the mower down. Once I pulled the broken belt out I expected the mower to drive as the drive belt was still okay. It would not move and I picked up the mower with my backhoe rather than towing.
 
When you put the engine to deck belt back on there should be no reason for it not to drive unless there is a problem in the T-Box. Have you taken the top off the T-Box and checked the gear oil in the box. I have seen the splines strip in the T-Box and not pull the pumps. Take the top off the T-Box and check to see if this has happened. I have seen the splines strip on the shaft at the pumps and on the drive gear and driven gears in the T-Box. This usually happens due to lack of gear oil in the T-Box. If the T-Box is dry this is usually the problem. Check it out.

Dek belt is not on. I removed the deck. Drive belt on a Dixie Chopper is independent of the deck.
 
Ok deck belt is not back on as long as the motion drive belt is still on and turning the pulley on the bottom of the T-Box what I posted about the T-Box still applies. I guess I assumed you put the deck belt back on. Check the T-Box like I posted. I am trying to tell you what could stop the mower from driving. I think I know the two belts are Independent of each other I have worked on more of these things than you have ever see. I own 5 of them. You ask for help I am trying to help.
