Come on sunshine we need to cut some grass.:thumbsup::laughing::laughing::licking::biggrin:

Windy and cold here lol. Snow on the ground and ice on the streets. This is gassing up snowblower weather here, not lawnmowing weather. It will be time to mow wild onions and spray them sometime this month though. Or in early March.

I guess I'm real lucky it was 68 here this morning with a high of 82 this afternoon. Been like this for a about three weeks now and were mowing about everyday. Tomorrow morning suppose to dip to 47 with a high of 72 but that's still plenty workable.

That is aweful.

Right now we have seen some straightline winds that have caused a small amount of damage and we are still a little while before the final and biggest part of the squall line passes over us and then hopefully it will all be outta here. i am ready to get to work doing something.

All of this wind outta clean the rest of the pinestraw out that is going to fall this year....

It's around 60 degrees here now and the same storms that are hitting you are hitting us in Pennsylvania. They are not causing tornadoes, but it is windy and it was absolutely DOWNPOURING. There is a Flood Watch and Wind Advisory in affect. Tomorrow it will be 40 and windy, and then 30 degrees, blustery with flurries on Friday. It was almost as warm as today, yesterday also.

Sun is shining here today. it is warming up fast. Says that there is like 30% chance of rain Tuesday. I hope that we are on the last leg or winter and it is going to stay warm. I am ready to cut some more grass.:frown::frown:

I am ready to cut some grass, too. This winter was a bust. I remember saying last winter that the following winter couldn't be any worse (less snowfall), but it was! It wasn't as warm as last winter, but we had less snow! We had 12 in. of snow last winter, and only 7.5 in. so far this winter. WE HAD FOUR FEET OF SNOW IN FEBRUARY 2010! Not the whole winter, just 1 month! I wish we had that kind of winter again! But since it is not going to happen this year, I am ready to cut some grass.

Send the snow up here. Have only worked four days since the first of the year. Won't start working on mowers til March. This weeks snow just enough to keep the full time guys working. If we don't get snow next week, they will be cut to 30 hour weeks.

Looking forward to spring and green grass.

If things go right in the next couple weeks I will be out of the lawn care business.
WeI have 2 sand dredges in the river only sold 2000 tons last year. Looking like we could be selling a 1000 tons a week.

Yikes, I welcome up to 17" here as forced exercise in winter, but that's way too much. The swedes make ice castles with lots of vodka inside. Whada ya think?
