That snapper pro looks like a solid mower. That might have got to bumped up to the top with the fx engine and and zt 3100 hydros. I need to get out and demo some this week.

I really like my snapper pro. There are a lot of good mowers out there in the price range you are looking at. It is a very good idea to demo them before making your purchase. Good luck, and let us know what you went with.

Another great feature of the snapper pro lineup is the iCd deck. Lays down the same beautiful cut as a 12k dollar Ferris.

This is true. The only difference in snapper pro and ferris is snapper pro doesn't have the independent suspension.

well I found, what I think is a good deal. Just need to talk the wife into letting me pull the trigger unfortunately. Brand new Snapper Pro S125x 52" deck with the FS Kawasaki for 5,498. Let me know if that's a good price. He wasn't looking to budge on it. I would be really stretching the budget if I go with this one, but it would probably be the last mower that I would ever "need" to buy. lol

It will be the fs 691v engine. It is 23 hp. Very good engines. The zt 3400 hydros are full commercial and can mow up to 10 mph. The only difference in the model s150xt 52" and the s125xt is the s150 xt comes with zt5400 hydros and the fx series engine. I gave around $5300 for my s150xt 48" in 2012 if my memory serves me right. Great mower. I could have gotten the 52" for $500 more, but my wife vetoed that suggestion. My 48" gets the job done and cuts great.

I guess I'm missing something because this whole idea really sounds off the wall too me. icon_scratch.png You say you have .4 acre residential lot, how much property are we talking about actually cutting? I mean this whole thing sounds a little like Overkill to me.

Completely agree that is over kill for .4 acres. Will take longer to put fuel in the mower than it will to mow the lawn. Lol
