Thanks for the welcome. I currently run both Bad Boys and Hustler for the guy I'm working for, with experience on Deere and Exmark as well. I'm looking at buying Dixie chopper for myself though I've never even been on one!

I have never been on one, either, but there are a lot of good reviews on Dixie Chopper mowers. I would definitely suggest demo-ing the mower you want before you buy it! And also make sure there is a dealer close by for repairs: Dealer Locator | Dixie Chopper.

Re: New to board

I too am new to this site. I really like it, folks are nice and know there stuff !
I own a Scag 48" Hydro Walk Behind with a 17 hp Kawasaki engine and a 48" X mark Hydro Walk Behind 15 hp Kawasaki engine like them both a lot. The Scag is newer so it's nicer,it seems well built (stronger )
I had never owned a Kawasaki engine before they are well built too. No problems what so ever with both of them ( cross my fingers ! )
I think it is the old " Chevy vs Ford " thing with mowers ( you like what you like ) I have not been on any other equipment so I can not say anything good or bad about them. If they are selling mowers to folks for the last 5 to 10 years they must be doing something right ?

WELCOME TO LMF!
Do you have any pictures of both of your 48" walk-behinds?
The only mower I have used with a Kawasaki engine was the Exmark Metro 26. There wasn't enough power in it for the size of the mower, though.
