New to me X304, oil everywhere!

Kawasaki motors eventually leak oil from 2 places. The crankcase breather and the the governor shaft seal.

And boy are those governor seals are hard to replace without tearing down the engine especially on the ZTRs I work on.

IF you are going to remove the tins then it is an engine pull. As none of the screws are easily accessible as everything in the following image plus the flywheel has come off. Item 6 highlighted are the tins screws. And there is also #16 screws and the fuel pump bracket [#15] that might need to come off.

Even the Briggs Slomo showed that engine has to come off to get to the third screw.

I looked at the governor seal, and all is well there. Whereabouts on the FH491v is the crankcase breather? Somebody mentioned that to me yesterday.

On top of the crankcase above the carb between the cylinders. A plate with 4 screws.

Yes, number 6 are the bolts I was talking about at the rear of the engine. You could bend the tab back and then get a wrench in there, but then your tin is ruined. If this helps to find out what's leaking, I have no problem with pullinh

Thank you to everyone who replied. I'm finally able to post the pics of the engine, after having the computer fixed. If you can see where the oil is leaking from, or other problems, please let me know. Thanks in advance.
