New ISX2200 Leaking oil

Thought it was fuel spilling out of vent filter, NOT! , Machine only has 7 hours on it now been leaking since day 1, Found issue this weekend, had rear of mower on ramps to clean off oil mess, and noticed oil filter bypass cap was touching engine block.
after further review the seal between cap and block was missing causing oil to leak, worse when hot. Had a seal from Briggs oil filter and it fit perfect. No more leak, sent email to Ferris & Briggs.

I have the exact same issue...ISX 2200 Vanguard 28HP EFI. Just purchased last week, mowed about 2 hours, parked it, and then noticed the leak the next day. It appears to be at the front of the engine, but I cannot find where it's leaking.

Did you have to drain the oil before removing the cap? Any tips or tricks from your experience?

Same thing happened to mine first week I used it. Took it back to dealer and it was missing gasket. If it's new take it back to your dealer.
