you'll need a helping hand here, while the deck is running, "carefully" take a long screwdriver and touch toward the center each rotating pulley and idlers. If the noise you're hearing changes, then you've probably found your culprit. But, as I've already stated - be carefully when doing this . . . .
Deck still noisy have had it looked at by 2dealers cuts nice and runs good I think it just the design of deck oh wellI like mine. 68 hours so far. How’s yours doing now?
We have fought the belts like that on several mowers. Finally got an after market raw edge belt and it solved the problem. Dealer is right the wrap belts can cause a noisey deck. Like he stated ever where there is a joint in the wrap there is a bump in the belt. I have seen belts with four to five joints in the belt. That coupled with the sorry new PEER spindles that a lot of mower have on them. Too much end play and they can get really noisey. Took the spindles to a machine shop were he machine the spacer down to take out the end play. That coupled with a new raw edge belt, finally got the deck quite enough to satisfy the customer.Right, and that is causes you a noisy deck, Dude you need to get a better dealer. r
