that may be a good product im not sure i havent seen one in real life but as i said before and as alot of other people ar saying also that a zero turn is going to make the biggest diffrence of all i say if your in the market for a new mower then try one out and see if it works out for you if you buy from a dealer and thats what everyone would recommend most of them will let you test drive one so you can see if its what you want or need good luck with you venture

Normally you can kill it down about twice a Summer and the weeds won't take it. If you keep it killed long enough nothing will be there. Of course the grass will try to spread back into it but it is much easier to spray Roundup than run a trimmer or push mower.

I and some others don't care for the look this produces. And it seems like over application to where nothing grows is just unnecessarily polluting the water table.

I for one would love to have that peco trimmer, but I would like to talk to someone who has one. Also I found it listed last year for under $200 and next time I looked for it ... it was over $300. But back to the main topic. A ztr is the only way to go... as far as rocks... if they are small enough to move, move a few every time you mow and eventually the problem will be solved. if they cannot be moved... assuming they are far enough apart... the ztr can mow around them as easily as a push mower! Without the pushing part!!

by the way I am seriously thinking of buying this. I called peco and spoke to their marketing mgr. My big questionwhich is specific to my mower was whether it would keep me from sliding the deck out for maintenance on my country clipper... they seemed to think it would depend on how wide my deck is. After downloading the manual which has lots of clear pictures I believe I can make a plate to mount it to that I can remove quickly. In any case they said as long and I dont install it and use it, I can send it back for the cost of shipping. Since I had to modify things for my cyclone rake to work, I am pretty sure it should not be hard to fab up something to make this work.

I dont know if I should start a new thread or not... I finally ordered the z-trimmer. Peco had an entry on their website saying it had been redesigned with a larger motor. I called them to ask when the new one would be available for purchase... they said they are just waiting on the new units to arrive.(hopefully by early april) So I went ahead and ordered one. I wanted to make sure I did not recieve old stock and she told me that would be impossible since they sold out of the old version completely.

Hey,

So, I am looking for some suggestions and ideas! I own about 3 acres and use a rider to mow my lawn, but I have a ton of trees, shrubs, rocks, a fence that I have mow around or can't get with the rider. So I have to go back and use a finish mower and trim! It takes up so much time and there has to be a better way to do this, I am looking for any and all suggestions to make this process much easier and quicker!

Thanks for the help!

redwagons,
Just a thought....have you considered/looked at any stand-on mowers? They are becoming very popular and combine the advantage of a zero turn for area they can cut in less time and the maneuverability of a walk-behind. The Toro Grandsatand would be a good one to look at to see what you think.

Make sure you tell us what you think of it once you get it and use it. Maybe you can post some pictures and/or video!
