Does your deck look like this? #58 is a mulch plug so it probably not present.

If so then the blades are standard 6 point star blades. 942-0616A 21.23" Now of course there are high lift and mulching versions.
The deck belt would be 954-0371A (5/8 x 74) Kevlar belt.

As Bert there should be one large spring attach to rear stabilizer bracket, #45 is the spring.

Yes and no
So it would be a 2001 model if that is the original engine but I can not find any parts break downs for the Columbia brand earlier than 2008

Bert since the engine was built on December 11, 2001 it most likely was installed on a 2002 model.

thats looks oddly farmiliar... thanks a bunch! :) the spring isnt there.. im assuming this is there to remove play in all the loosness and would help apply propper tension even on the longest setting to mow?

hey folks.. been a while i know :p i got myself a lawn tractor Columbia 42in cut 16HP single cyl Briggs... and it needs a belt for the deck as well as both blades.. ive tried looking at the MTD site.. but couldnt confirm my model on the site?? so if anyone knows where i can look.. would be nice

model 13AE698G597 ... to be fair... the last 9 digit.. the sticker is bunched up a bit.. i think.. its a 9.. might be an 8?? trying with either or doesnt give me any better hits.. its still mowing.. but wow.. is it ever slowing down .. even during a mow i can notice it getting worse and worse..

side note.. how tricky is it to add a washer port to an older deck? what do i need.. what do i need o know?( location?? places to avoid?)
Google Columbia 42" deck belt Part number OEm 754-04060 MTD made a lot of brands and if you cross reference it to a 42" cub cadet with a 16 hp it should help. take your old belt off and take it to a good lawn mower repair shop. Do not buy the belt from an auto parts store it will not last.

Replace the E with an F in the model, not sure about the last 3. That should bring up approx 3 different model numbers ending in either 300 (2002 Model), 131 (2003 Model) and 722 (2004 model). Those should help you in finding parts for your mower.
