Need between wiring harness

Finished installing my new CV742-3022 engine yesterday. Completed pre-startups items. And attempted to start motor. Connections between old engine cv740-0021 and new engine looked the same and plugged like they should have. Turns over, fires but no power to fuel solenoid. So not starting. Without cutting up the new harness for the new motor and voiding the warranty I need another between harness(not sure what its called). Its the small harness between the Scag Wildcat harness and the new engine harness. Can anyone assist with one or part number for new between harness?

Thanks,
Todd

Does your old engine have shut down solenoid on the carb. If you can take a picture of the harness where it plugs into scag and also at the starter where they connect and hook up.

Also what is the scag numbers plus serial number. Also what engine came out of it from the start what wiring harness do you or replaced it with.

New engine harness power to fuel and starter come off two different leads.

Pins on bottom of new Red & Green are not used on old connectors. And the green on the old harness is not used at all on either. So really only the red on the new connector needs to be moved...or new middle harness where it connects these pins to the new engine wiring harness

Did you order your new engine from Kohler as a direct replacement engine for your scag or did you just buy a engine. Looks like the engine harness is different from what I Am seeing why I asked. But that does mean it won’t run. Have you had it running yet at all with like an either shot or anything yet. Also I take it you have all safety switches connected and working.

The numbers you posted in the picture is of the cutter deck. We need the ones on the scag itself located near the engine or the rear by the roll over bar mounts or close by the sides of the seat area.

Looks more like the first picture but my pins are side to side not top to bottom. I believe I can make a simple jumpover wire and accomplish what I need.

Sorry I didnt see this Model STWC61V-27CV SERIAL B5700195

Local dealers do not have harness adapter I need. I'm not confident they would order the right one.

Did alittle rewiring by adding another male spade to the missing place that I thought was where I needed power from yesterday. Mower cranks but only runs about 5 seconds then shuts off again. So I'm stumped

From memory of what has been published here previously Scag use a delay on the seat switch so when you drive over rough ground the engine is not continually turning off & on.
I don't service any Scags so I try to stay clear of Scag posts.
Try bypassing the seat switch.
Also put a red spark tester on one of the plug leads.\If the flashes stop before the engine then something is closing the engine down & that is most likely to be the module
I have no idea how to test one or if it can be tested with home mechanics tools.

Took a look at wiring and connections on old motor this morning. pulled back the protective sheeve on old motor wiring harness. What I though was a blue wire was actually purple under the sheeve. Did a little more re-configuring of wires this morning and she cranked right off. Cut about an acre of grass with no issues((except fuel) boy she likes a drink. But other than that its running fine, making plenty of power, charging systems putting out about 13.8. Now I need to work on a few other service items and a few other minor things.

Thanks everyone for all the help
