Need Air Filter Help for Kaw Please

The only area that filter could leak is at the 2 hose connections and not likely there .
That is exactly where they leak
The joint onto the actual metal carb is fine but the joint between the plastic filter spigot & the rubber sleeve is where they leak
Because the plastic will deform if the clamp is done up too tight

Look inside your intake pipe, post filter. Run your finger inside that pipe.
Every filter for our engines has some dust going through because we're not using NASA filters . If you would like to see the dust the eye can't normally see , wear a led head lamp outdoors in complete darkness and look up at an acute angle about where a ball cap bill would end . That's what's passing through our filters . The reason it's in the air it's soft and light weight , does very little damage to the engine .

No doubt Senior. That's why I get aggressive at stopping grit in my mowers. One single filter is not good enough with these dirty little fella's. If you have any trees with no grass under, you get a huge dirt cloud all heading into the air filter.
