need advice with residential lawnvac

Hello.
I'm a homeowner that is looking for advice on an inexpensive , yet effective way of dealing with my 3 week "plague" of leaves.
I have a large yard, that has 8 trees and neighbors have many trees, also..(wind always plays a part).
Was thinking along the lines of a lawn vac, riding mower is overkill.
any suggestions, or which forum to view?

Another consideration(aside from mulching with a rider/ZTR) is that "the leaves have to go somewhere":0)
(1)Leaf blowers-Simply "moves" the leaves from Point A(driveway/sidewalk, yard, etc.) to Point B(your yard, ditch, neighbor's yard, etc.:0)
(2)Leaf Vac/Shredder-Removes the leaves, but eventually a place must be determined to dispose of said collected leaves(bag em for garbage pickup, etc.). And this must be done quite frequently when the bag gets full:0(
(3)Sweeper-I had one of these that I pulled behind my lawn tractor(versus the manually push type in lmf's link) and believe me emptying those things are a real hassle....also, a hand-pushed requires double work if you are still mowing(sweep all leaves, then go back and mow). Also....again, the contents of the sweeper has gotta go somewhere:0(

Yeah those are good considerations. The reason I showed a link to a push one is because he said a riding mower is overkill.

I guess when you have a bunch of leaves....you do what you have to do:0)
I have a septic system in my front yard...so no trees as to keep Mr. Roto-Rooter away:0)
Big tree-line at the back of my property...but mostly evergreens. I do get a lot of leaves and pine needles in my garage gutters(next-door-neighbor planted Virgina Pines all down their property line in back and have some broadleaf trees....I actually put "Gutter-Guards" on that side of the garage which is fairly effective, but starlings like to build nests in the gutters at the end where they can squeeze between the guards and the end of the gutter). When I get my Echo Gutter Kit I'm gonna blow them critters, their nests and all out of there:0)
I guess some of us are lucky to not have a major leaves problem.
