Years ago I bought a Bachtold Whipper mower. It has been the best piece of small engine gear I have ever owned.
I could use a replacement for one of the 20 inch wheels with the welded spokes. Anyone have some parts laying around? The manufacturer (and their remaining spare parts) is gone.
The wheel I need has a large set screw and is on the opposite side of the machine from the drive mechanism
I need the same right wheel for a D R Field and Brush mower that I bought in 1994. I purchased the last left wheel that Country Home Products had but cannot find a right wheel. If find some, please let me know where to at my Email: charlesocarey@gmail.com. If I find one, I will let you know.
Give a Lot more description, and others here may be able to help..
Wheels have various parts including, Hubs for various mountings, offset, rim diameters and widths, tires of various tread design, diameter & width...
If you state some of the requirements, a workable substitute can always be located... :smile:KennyV
Good news - I was able to get the old wheel repaired.
I took the wheel off and cleaned it good.
Then I took it to a professional (not backyard) welder.
Even though the rim metal is rather thin he was able to weld the spokes back to the rim.
Works great.
