35k on a truck after taxes with a sticker price of 50k plus the first 25k miles of scheduled service free. Sounds like a decent deal to me.

Yeah it sounds good but in reality how good is it really? Are you talking a cash deal or with a trade and if it's a trade what was the allowance for your trade? If it's a cash purchase the price should have come down. What about rebates? To many variables to know if it's a good deal in reality. A 50K truck after rebates you could be talking any where between a 35K and 37K price tag. A good deal is what the buyer perceives it to be.

No trades with instant rebates and 1.9% financing. And no need to perceive it to be a good deal when it is, though I will not be purchasing another one, where can you find one cheaper. When this area has people coming down from New York to buy vehicles it must be a good deal.

Mine was cheaper, I only paid 32K out the door with a trade and rebates and I got 1.75% through my Credit Union. I could have had 0% through Ford but I didn't want to go 72 months and give up on the rebates and I got 3 years bumper to bumper including free oil changes for as long as I own the truck. I could say something about your last comment about people from NY but I wont go there.

I got a kick outta GM commercials, about them using Steel vs Ford /aluminum. And now I hear GM is gonna start making Aluminum truck bodies also.

I didn't see a Raptor on the lot when I was looking at the trucks and I;ll bet I looked at everyone on the lot. The Raptor is a cool truck but the problem with the raptor is it was made to be a toy, built for off road playing. The regular F 150 will out pull it and has a greater load capacity than the Raptor so it really depends on what your looking for in a truck.

My guess would be that GM and probably Dodge will follow Ford and make the Aluminum Truck Bodies, I would think they would have to for the competition factor alone. I haven't seen the Commercials.

The only reason ford started using aluminum, was to shed weight to pass the latest gas mileage & EPA requirements. Initally ford posted a loss of 700 lbs, reality I belive is more like 400 some lbs.

I have to disagree about the Raptor, probably reason you didn't see any, they got sold. That is supposed to be one of the Top End P/ups for ford.

But what do I know, I prefer Chevys' ..

The Raptor is nothing but a glorified F-150 xlt. You can get the Xlt with everything the Raptor has and more. The standard features are basically the same for both. The Raptor is just a factory built 4x4 for off road. It no where close to there top end truck.

Fords always lead the way with their trucks. That's one of the reasons they've been the number 1 selling truck for the last 38 years.
