Here we go. I bought this yesterday and it worked fine. I was cutting the grass and the blades stopped moving then loads of blue smoke can up from under the mower deck. I turned off the tractor and waited. After 30min i tried to start it again. Nothing. I moved it to my garage, cleaned out the mower deck of grass and tried again. Nothing.
Indications
I put in the key and nothing shows up on the digital gauge, no noise at all.
Troubleshooting steps
Checked the battery - 12.2v
Checked the fuse - OK
Tried to find a wiring diagram to check the electrical, I am guessing that is the problem, or any help that anyone can provide

Remember all the safety switches. Sitting in seat, mower deck disengaged, transmission in neutral, and parking break on.
but would that stop the gauges from lighting up? or does it just stop the motor from turning over?

I truly don't know. Each mower is different. I would think not but you never know.

The smoke part means something was burning. Wires, belt, grease, grass???? I would want to know that first. If it was wires it would mean a short in the electrical system some place.
I did a check of the belt system and they are fine. Did not see any burnt wires. There was a lot of grass in the deck i cleaned it out but still have no luck. I am getting no noise from the motor at all. I am trying to check the electrical system but have no wiring schematic to compare it to. There is 12V DC going to the fuse and the fuse is good. But i do not know the pin out of the switches to check them.

If you could get the model number off the tage on the mower I might be able to find the wiring.
So I jumped the starter to the positive terminal and got the starter to move. The gauges light up now and I turn the key i hear a small noise from behind me, I guess that noise is the solenoid, but nothing else. The gauge disappears and I turn the key off and on, no gauge no more noises. But I can repeat this every time I jump the starter.
