Mower blades not disengaging

I did not even know that blade brakes were a thing. They are very worn, and about $50 from sears with shipping. Still gonna measure that amazon belt.

If that is Amazon Prime and the belt still looks ok and if it's wrong length send it back for a full refund, maybe. Usually easy to do with Prime just click on returns and go to UPS depot for free shipping.

that is if you ordered the correct part number and the belt is wrong size, not your fault.

If we had your tractor model and deck size we might could give more precise info about your blade brakes.

No need in blade brake pads if the belt is not correct because the pads will burn/wear out fast.
On some rigs I've had to install addition blade break helper springs so as to hold the brake pads tighter to the pulley with correct belt.
I've also took old auto disc brake pad and made some of the type that brake on top of the deck pulleys.
On some of the really wimpy and expensive ones I just do without blade brakes for my own use.
