Milk Shakes

You know what I miss? I miss really super chocolatey thick chocolate milk shakes. Most of what you get at fast food places or casual dining spots are such a joke. I love a good shake; been decades since I've had one worthy of the name, too.

Are you talking about home made or store bought? I would love to know how to make home made ones, I grew up with them and you know, no one ever told us kids the secret to it.

Do a Google search....I just did one with my Blackberry for "Homemade Chocolate Milkshakes" and there is a huge amount of information available. Darn, you have got ME wanting them now.

We had a fast food place years ago that made the most awesome shakes. Oh man, they were good. Some sit downs used to make really good ones, too. We did make homemade sometimes, but that's a lot of work -- tasty, but a lot of work.

I don't use "google" try Dogpile Web Search

Dogpile searches multiple search engines (including google)

I love Dogpile too. It's a great site that pulls together searches from all over, so I have to go along with that statement that Dogpile is a good thing to use.

Just offhand, what difference does it make if Google gives you a thousand hits and Dogpile gives you ten thousand? Who even bothers to go through more than a dozen hits?

NOT ME.

Actually, it depends on what you're looking for. I've been known to go through several pages of results, and that's regardless of the search engine used.

Steak 'n Shake will customize their shakes. Good stuff!

This was the wrong thread for me to click on right now.

Thickest milkshake I've ever had was at In-n-out burger (a California chain). I don't know what they do... maybe just add very little milk. But sucking that straw is quite a workout (probably not enough to burn off the milkshake, but it's a start).

Call me crazy, but I think McDonald's Strawberry shakes are the best around. I guess I've been kind of spoiled to fast food through the years. I would love to have a homemade on though.

Loved your description of a "workout"....at my age I'd probably get winded before the shake was gone
